first things first - upgrade the ins & outs, get a higher flowing intake, fix the restricting mouth piece with an LBZ or Kodak one, and a 4+ inch exhaust. ether turbo back (best) down pipe back (good) or cat back (ok) exhaust

EFI live will make you poop your pants.

And then your tranny will limp.:tttt:

DirtyMaximus 03-26-2012 09:21 PM

how so?

unless you drive with out clothes...

no, EFI Live is the best in terms of customization. light HP increase, tow tunes, high HP, race tunes, etc

what ever you want EFI Live can probably do

DirtyMaximus 03-27-2012 12:33 AM

That's what I'm hearing. sounds like that's what I'm getting!:tu:

19psi 03-27-2012 07:29 PM

Keep in mind the stock trans can only handle 100 hp more than stock. Otherwise, you'll be buying a new one pretty quickly!

DirtyMaximus 03-27-2012 08:34 PM

Thats good to know! thanks man

2004LB7 03-27-2012 10:16 PM

that's 100hp on a good day, many don't make it that far a few do.

after your intake, exhaust, egr blocker, EFI Live & gauges, i would upgrade the transmission next

DirtyMaximus 03-27-2012 10:45 PM

like a torque converter or?

Diesel Dawgs Performance 03-28-2012 06:41 AM

Converter and Shift Kit

Luke

Budgreen 03-28-2012 08:23 AM

so far my 06 is holding a 100hp tune without limping, but it's also an edge evo tune so.....

DirtyMaximus 04-11-2012 03:15 AM

ok now i put a k&n intake and filter on my stock 05 lly and now i have intermittent power loss! some times i hit the gas and shes all there other time i punch it and its like im towing my house! do i need a tuner for the intake!?!

Budgreen 04-11-2012 07:14 AM

take out the k&n and put a factory filter in...

DirtyMaximus 04-11-2012 08:26 PM

it finally through a light and it was the mass airflow sensor. i unplugged it and got the power back.

2004LB7 04-11-2012 10:54 PM

K&Ns can get the MAF sensor contaminated with oil. try cleaning the MAF sensor. i run a K&N and haven't had the issue but have heard of plenty that do

DirtyMaximus 04-11-2012 11:57 PM

ya thats what i was thinking too. tomorrow im getting a can of mas cleaner

BriteWhiteRam 04-15-2012 09:26 PM

ditch the K&N and get an S&B intake, you'll be much happier:yeah:

1AMatt 04-20-2012 11:12 AM

X2 on gettin rid of the K&N. The factory ones flow great! You just need to change the mouth piece :tu:

DirtyMaximus 04-24-2012 04:34 PM

well i cleaned the sensor up and it works great now thanks guys:jump:
