Dmax just died

2002 2500HD CC. Started fine and drove 200 ft and simply died. Put 5 gals in to make sure I wasn't out and primed but no luck on the restart. Eng cranks but won't fire. Ran fine prior 15k miles. Prior to this episode I would hear something buzzing while waiting for the "Wait to Start" light to go out. I figured it it an inline pump but when I checked underneath and couldn't see any electric pump from the top of the tank to the engine compartment. Also fuel level sending unit was getting progressively worse (really don't if that would have anything to do with it or not):humm:. Does this sound like a likely CP3 issue? Do they just die like that? Or possibly something much easier. Thanks

Dmaxs have the lift pump on the back of the cp3 all in one unit. Im going to look into this and see if I can find out anything for ya.

How long since the fuel filter was changed?

I'd replace the fuel filter if its been awhile.
Check and make sure the o rings are not kinked and are good to go.
Also check the water in fuel sensor is tight and the o ring is fine
Make sure the bleeder valve is tight and not cracked.

Check fuses and make sure they are not blown.

Sometimes when you run the truck dry it can take a few times of cranking it over before it starts.
