epa is partially to blame. american's attitudes towards diesel in general. people's minds are still stuck in the 80's when it comes to diesels. they're starting to change but it's slow going. when my FIL bought his crew cab gmc i begged him to get the diesel but he got the 6.0 and he's miserable. at my current job there ar 36 people that work for the company. i'm the only diesel driver and they all look at me like i have 3 heads. at the dealership i left, i was the only diesel driver there too. there was only one other guy that had one but i was the only one that really believed in them. this is like any other technology. if it's forced upon consumers then they'll buy it. that's what the automakers need to do. they all need to get together and start making diesel an inexpensive, viable technology. people will buy eventually.
