2??? I sure hope my first one lasts! :ohno:
Is a SC stage VI what you guys would recommend, how about whats a stage III good to hp wise? or how about the ATS kits? |
I think the SC IV is good for like 600 or so.. Larry will definately know more:U:
ATS has been having some problems with tranny's and i know a couple guys that had the torque converter problem and ats wouldn't warranty it just be careful i would do some reearch... with ats that is i have herd lots of good things about suncoast...
Thanks Ill do that. I've kinda heard a little about that too, I just thought i'd see what people had to say about
your best bet is to contact Mike L. with Inglewood Transmissions and tell himn what you plan on doing with the truck:U:

Ive had the same problem i tried to get a hold of him a while back .
Mike answeres every email and phone call from me.. So I dunno..
Wait until you shell out big $$$ for a fully built transmission and it fails too...just because it is a stage IV doesn't mean you can't slip those as well. At least most builders offer a solid warranty - mine stood behind his 110%.
Well i plan on doing building my own I think to save a little money. I know a guy who works at the chevy dealer in cheyenne who built his and will help with mine. i would hope a stage VI would hold up to 500-550 hp though.
Talk to Mike L. He has answered every pm and phone call from me. He spent 2 hours just talking to me about trucks and his busineess and the friends hes made along the way. Hes a great guy and when it comes time to rebuild my trans ill be lookin to him
mike loves to talk
I'm sure thats who i'll go with what do you guys think about doing it myself though anybody here done it themselves?
if your comfortable in doing it yourself, I say go for it. I let Mike L. build my last one, I'm more comfortable with that decision.:ok1:
Well it looks like its going to be a stage VI..........anybody interested in a 04 CRF450 haha :U:
