What Year Did GM Put The Lockers In Their Duramax?

I am just curious. What Year did GM put the Lockers in their Duramax? As most of you know I am in the market trying to buy one and I absolutely need locking differentials to pull out the livestock trailer. So If you could help me and tell me what years had the locking differencials. Thanks In advance.

All years have the G-80 limited slip differential.

Yeah I knew about the G80s but I want to know when they put a full locking differecial on the Duramax trucks.

They lock up good for burnouts, and 2wd mudding, but sometimes when you get stuck sideways they dont work so well:ouch:

I'd mostly be pulling the Livestock trailer with my Duramax when I get it.

I do like Chevy Gassers but I would still rather get a diesel. After all when I get done with College I will know how to fix it myself so its a no brainer got to go with the diesel.Diesels are much easier to work on anyway In my opinion.Of course it would be 4 wheel drive.2wds are next to useless around here.

well my grandpa is selling his truck and that is what it is. he is thinking about diesels since when he tows he gets between 12-14 MPG and unloaded it only gets 15-16 MPG. plus i need a truck to tow my tractor to parades and lawns. im sick of borrowing trucks to do so. plus the 4.10 gears are great for burnouts. god is that thing fun in the snow:w2: i would like 4X4 but my grandpa is gonna sell it to me for cheap and ive grown up in that truck learned to drive in that thing so i know whats its been through
