Best Used Diesel Truck

Hey everyone i`m somewhat new to the world of diesel and was hoping for a little help? So, i`m trying to pick a truck i can not only work with and play in the woods with but also use a a daily driver. i really prefer cummins cause a guy my dad worked with when i was younger had over 400k miles on a 99 2500 and ive had friends who`ve had them to but im not sure i wanna go with dodge just yet .My dad`s had 2 7.3L Powerstrokes (both 97`s) , 2 Cummins TD(a 98 and an 04) and one Duramax (2001 Sierra dually) and honestly even though im more of a chevy guy , ive loved all of them but want to switch from a gasser 04 tahoe z71 to a diesel cause of car hauling, working and because i like them alot more then gassers. iv`e driven all 5 trucks ( 2 being 5 speeds) and would like to know the pros and cons between the F250/350 powerstroke , the Ram 2500 cummins and the Silverado 2500 duramax ( any years after 1994 up till 2009 are wanted please). i wanna stay in the range of around 15k us dollars and have something under 150k for miles and be used! But im not sure were to start because most of what i read was bias , id just like to know the hard facts on each truck and then do research into what i feel is the best bang for my buck and hopefully have a truck by christmas. I`d prefer someone who`s owned one of the trucks i listed for atleast a year or more and knows what their talking about and also can help me out. i havent used any of the trucks enough to really notice much of a difference between them besides the fact they were totally different makes of course ,cause my dad always kept everything in tip top shape. They honestly all felt great but i dont know enough to go out and get one cause i feel like it`d be a shot in the dark. ive only used any of them to haul wood to my grandfathers, move things for my parents , trailer cars for my dad or just bring shit to the dump also so i wasnt really to focused on any of the trucks them selfs just what i was doing or what i had to do next. Thanks, and sorry for my novel up there ^ i thought it might help if i give back round info , p.s please no " Fords suck, get a chevy" thats just wasting mine and your time, id like someone to just run down a list of the good and the body for each truck.

Nobody will type all that but all around get the 7.3. Dodges are cheap made with shit trannies and suspension and duramaxes are pricey to repair and go into limp mode easy. 7.3 is a stout engine and trans is OK as well as everything else I do not like the caliper bracket setup on the fords though....PS I'm a Chevy guy

Get an early 2000's F-250. Swap in a Cummins and Allison tranny. Best of all worlds. Not sure what you'd call it. SuperCumminAllison doesn't sound very appealing. At least not when referring to trucks.
