I bought the LMM last year in May and never regretted it. Of course it is the LBZ+, which is different then a brand new design.

Well this one is going to be built solely by GM.So they will probably use Bosch injectors from the start.Which should make for a powerful and reliable engine.:U:

HOPEFULLY you would be able to buy a NEW 1500 4X4 4.5 DMAX for less than $30,000???:humm:

DuramaxBen 05-30-2008 08:31 AM

Well $36,000 is alot better than $40,000.

We are supposed to get our first "baby" Duramax here in mid August? I hope anyways i am really curious about all of it. When we get our first one in I will let you know what i think of it.

DuramaxBen 05-30-2008 12:01 PM

Alright E2 let me know especially as I will be looking at one with a Manual just for a parts running truck.

E2theRock2 05-30-2008 12:20 PM

Actually Ben the Duramax does not come with a manual, i know that sounds dumb and it really is, the only transmission option is the Allison or a smaller trans for the baby dmax.... GM stopped offering a manual transmission for the pickups in 2003.5, strange aint it?

DuramaxBen 05-30-2008 12:24 PM

I see well that is ok I guess. There 6speed manual was the same as Dodges.Yeah it is kind of strange but now a days everybody or most everybody wants an automatic.
