No,:humm: your the only one with enough money:tu::c: It's my office, and it makes the first impression on a lot of jobs I pull up on, so it's worth every penny to have a nice boss truck. |
Is the ride a bit stiffer on your new LML's? Also what are they doing with the lift kits, Isn't the right hand torsion bar shorter?
|
I couldn't tell you what the exact differences are suspension wise, but I do notice a stiffer ride and it doesn't ride on the bumpstops like my 07 did. I'd say it still rides better than the Dodge, and it handles heavy trailer much better than my 07 chevy did.

Whats this DEF Duramax is supposed to be going to? It's supposed to replace the DPF, my dads company runs it in their new freightliners and I guess it's a fluid that gets injected into the fuel and it's like $18 per gallon. All i have to say is wow.:scare2:
|
DEF is used in addition to the DPF, it is injected in to the exhaust not the fuel. DEF is 70% water and 30% Urea. It sells here for $8 for a 2 1/2 gallon jug and you should get 3-6k miles on 5 gallons. With the DEF, they can program the engine to meet emissions without drastic regen programs that kill mileage. These trucks are supposed to get around 20 mpg stock once broke in. That's why I waited for them to come out, 20 mpg and 400 horsepower with a 5 year 100k mile warranty, what more could you want from a new pickup?
So far I am very happy with my truck. The power is amazing and the new chassis handles a trailer much better in my opinion. I've had one glitch where the ecm wouldn't reset after filling the DEF tank, which is turning out to be a somewhat common thing. The dealer did a reflash and all is good again. So far I am very, very impressed with the new setup, only time will tell how it does with some years on it. |
I joined the club too. Denali 2500. White, the best color btw. So far I love the power. I don't want to beat on it. Only 300 miles so far. I towed a heavy trailer and didn't know it was there. Exhaust brake worked really nice.
