Thinking of taking the Diesel Plunge

I am hoping to buy a Silverado 2500HD,and I have a few questions

First, I am just wondering if there are any issues these trucks have?

Also, in New York City Metro Area Diesels Are Not Mandated to have Emissions Inspections, IF they have a Weight of over 8500, so how much do they weigh?
(I am also Wondering if the Above statement is correct)

as far as I know the LML has few issues, there may be some but it really hasn't been out long enough, besides if you buy an LML it should still have warranty on it

As far as emissions equipment the LML won't weigh over 8500lbs, its usually under 7000, as well the EPA is really putting the hurt on all companies that manufacture products that delete diesel emissions systems

Edge performance and H&S, as well as EFI live have all suspended any products that deal with DPF removal on these trucks as well Edge was fined $500,000 for selling those products and that fine was significantly reduced because of edges financial situation:argh:
