Emissions

Hey guys Im currently in a 2005 6 leaker powerstroke:argh: and am trading to an Lmm I would like to strait pipe it but due to emissions in colorado I cannot. I was wondering if I keep the cat and do an egr blockoff and ditch the dpf if it would still pass. Thanx any other suggestions would be great I dont know alot about these trucks I am getting one because of the interior is the best in the game today:U:

Do the Delete and when it goes for emissions testing put it back on.

Is it going to throw a code?

if you block off the egr it might, and if you take the muffler off it might, but i would deffinetly keep the cat on for emissions. i dont know if its any different in Colorado, but in CT you can send a diesel through emissions with a check engine light. I'm certified.

Make some friends!! My truck won't pass at all but I got some buddies that will look the other way. :U:

and im not sure what the consequences are but in ct if you get found ghost testing, using another vehicle to pass a vehicle that wont pass, thats automatic eviction from the program and they shut your test center down. i think thats a little too big of a risk to take just to try to help someone if you ask me.

LMM's can pass emissions with correct tuning and setup if you desire to have your off road truck checked after dpf is removed.

Who has an LMM tune that pass emissions without a DPF? Not heard it would be possible.

it can be done but it takes certain tuning and and a little extra adition to the equation. Not recomended for daily driving but it can be done.
