How to DPF delete FREE!! READ!!

I use HPtuners to Tune for a business and HP tuners removed my DPF delete function and really screwed with things. They keep deleting my threads lol. So i thought id share with some guys on here. im just coping my thread over

"This is how to fool DPF systems. First i would like to say to cover my own butt that i do not condone this and im not liable for anything that happens to your truck. Ok now for the good stuff. Ive been working on this for awhile and i got it figured out. So i tuned my LMM and as we all know HP removed DPF and it really started screwing with life. So i bought EFI live handheld and it was terrible. No power poor milage all around s*** show. So i went on a search to find answers. The DPF sensors go off resistance to see when to Regen. The Duramax will not do an "Active Regen" when the truck is doing a "Passive Regen". A Passive Regen is when the EGTs are so hot that the computer sees no need to Regen itself. So the goal was to find a resistor that fooled the computer to thinking EGTs were high enough to not need a regen but low enough to not go into limp mode. So after a few trial and errors i found the key was to run a 1K ohm resistor between the two DPf sensor wires on both senors. ive have been 300 miles so far and no problems, nothing in the message center and i have my truck back!! ill keep all of you updated into what happens and if you have any questions feel free to contact me. Share this guys these are our trucks we should have the freedom to do what we please to them."

Thanks for reading and wish all you guys luck.

Let's us know how it's working for you !!!

Has anyone else tried this? So I just clip each EGT sensor on both sides of the DPF and put a 1k ohm resistor between the two sensor wires on each side?

Will there be forced regens ever? I’m going to replace the exhaust with a turbo down kit eliminating the cat too.

No sir. The EGTS are "too high" which means the computer sees no need to force a regen. I sold my duramax and i have not heard back from him since. i didn't clip mine i just unplugged them and crimped a male connector on both sides of resistor and put it in the plug.

What watt is the 1k ohm resistor. I only need this to work temporarily to make it through the week

https://www.the12volt.com/resistors/resist.gifThis is the color code to the Resistor I used. I have a bunch lying around not sure on Wattage but this is how I calculated resistor. Update. Got in contact with guy I sold it too. Other than the trans not liking to tow on the hotter tune no problems from motor and DPF system. Still running the 5" straight pipe. He says maybe once or twice a week the "Clean filter" pops up on IP when key is cycled before the self system check clears it but no limp mode and no constant warning for anything DPF related.
