Fuel System Problem
Ok guys, I Have a stock 2008/9 kodiak 4500, w Allison 1000 tranny. I have been having problems keeping the fuel filter primed while warming up the engine, particularly since the weather turned cooler.
I replaced the in tank fuel pump assy, and still have to prime the the filter sometimes 6-10 times before it will stay running. I am told by a friend that drives tractors that this could be due to older fuel hose shrinking allowing air into the fuel line. could it be as simple as replacing the fuel line. Also since changing the fuel filter the check engine light, and a filter light on console stay on all the time. |
