Figure this out!!

So i kinda have a problem or so i think :humm: It all started when my driver door stopped working. I still had sound coming out of my speaker, but my power windows and power locks stopped working. The driver door issue seems intermitten, it works and doesn't. I checked into the wiring the best i could, and it seems ok.

Now the new thing. This morning while driving down the road i had a strange thing occur, my lights on my 2HI, N, 4HI, and 4LO lite up, my odometer said service 4x4, my radio shut off, my fuel gauge went to EMPTY, and all my warning lights came on. The truck drove fine and didn't skip a beat. Then when everything went back to normal, the theft light was on. Stopped the truck, shut it off, waited a few moments, started it, and carried on my way. About 4 miles down the road it did it again. Never skipped a beat though!!:choochoo:

So any help would be good!! Thanks!:tu:

:lol88::lol:Now that was funny.
Sorry, but believe or not when it comes to electrical stuff I'm not much help. I would have to guess some sort of short or a ground problem. Wish I could help you more but I'm sure someone with a little more knowledge will chirp in soon:tu:

I wonder if theres any way to read a code and find out if theres a short somewhere?:humm: Maybe a wire got pinched somehow?

And i was thinking it might be a bad connection somewhere, but what about anti-theft:humm: or my command start???

Aftermarket alarm/start???? Start there. Dissconnect it or by-pass it, see if it still acts up.

ok will try that first. and yes it is an aftermarket command start. Not an alarm.

That might be the best place to start. Who did the install? If it was you, you are all set! You will know what all is involved and where the connections are. I think I would start at checking all those connections. A pet pieve of mine is that I hate Scotch-Locs. Hopefully you will find a bad connection that might be causing this.

Let us know what you find!

So i got my buddy to bring down his mac scan tool, scanned it and found a code for body control module. So i looked a little deeper, and un-plugged the command start. I found that the lift pump i installed was causing the problems. I had connected my key on power for the lift pump to my body control module. So i found the proper key on power and hopefully its fixed!! Thanks for the input guys!:tu:
