Fuel sender
Hey guys i have a 06 lly i was recently told it would be a good idea to use stanadyne fuel additive. I noticed that sometimes my fuel gauge stays at a given level for quite sometime and then over a matter of days it will drop or go back up to full.. i know there is no way it is full so i was thinking it was the fuel sender. Someone suggested the additive could be making it stick... is it a coincidence and my fuel sender is failing or is it possible it is the stanadyne, any input would be great thanks guys

Ive personally never heard of the stanadyne causing that, but that doesnt mean that it didnt. As for additives, try running some 2 stroke engine oil.. I run 8 oz of 2 cycle oil every other tank, and i have ZERO issues with the ULSD.. plus its much cheaper than the "Diesel Additives".:rocking:

I don't think the additive would do that. I have heard of this with the fuel gauge before on my buds truck and he never uses anything for an additive..
I have used a Bio additive on both trucks and never had a problem in the lly or lmm.. my 2c:tu: |
Alright thanks i'll see what happens ill try the 2 stroke its definately cheaper :tu:
