that funny noise...
the front end of my 2006 duramax makes a chattering/clunking noise whenever i get on any rough road... it sounds like its mostly coming from the driver side. are my CV joints possibly going out? or is it a bad wheel bearing? something else? or is it nothing to worry about?
also i can feel some movement/clunking in the steering column. is this related to the chattering in the front end or is it a different problem? it probably doesn't help that i have an 8inch Fabtech lift with 355/60R20's |
My dads 06 truck has the same problem check chevy dealer his was a recall and he got it fixed for free!:tu:

i never thought it might be a recall haha that would be awesome if thats all i have to do. will the recall still be valid with my 8 inch lift?
|
i dont know about that one but maybe the steering colum might be ok but if its somthing else i dont know all you have to do is callem and ask!:tu:
|
the steering clunk is a well known issue, doesnt bother me, hasnt caused me any problems yet so i see no need to fix it
|
it is an easy fix. just replace lower steering shaft between column and steering gear
