P1093 code. Need help
2005 duramax. Bone stock.
I was hauling my camper Friday, and started up a hill and got in the throttle. The CEL came on and maxed out at 2000 rpms and 45 mph. After dropping the trailer I pulled the p1093 code, low fuel rail pressure. Truck runs fine when not pulling a load. Any suggestions?? Sharpie's bringing sexy back! |
Try changing the fuel filter. When my 04 thew that code, changed the filter and could not duplicate.

Oh forgot to mention. I just changed the fuel filter maybe 400 miles ago.

I forgot to mention also, the new filter is a WIX filter....could that be part of the problem??
Who needs a computer when you have tapatalk?? |
I have a 05 duramax 3500 that has the same code and a no start issue. I have ran all the tests there are on that truck and i have narrowed it down to the fuel pressure sensor on the passenger side fuel rail or the over priced injector pump. I am going with the pressure sensor first if that does no good then its pump or blow it up and take my losses. lol

1093 issues
Trdavison,
So what is the verdict? My truck is doing the exact thing. I have a cts insight monitor and all the injector balances show fine. I already replaced 1 injector that was running high. I replaced fuel filter, fuel lines, O-rings in the filter head, shim kit on the injector rail. Thought I was ready to go and picked up my trailer and booyah..... limp mode. 1093 code is all I got for my bang. :ouch: Any ideas anyone...?? :scare2: |
IMO wix fuel filters for the duramax suck... Had one on my lly and it started acting up.. Kept causing the truck to smoke blue at a stop and miss fire like it was having inj issues.. Took it to the dealership to see if I had a bad injector and they told me to take the crappy wix off and put a ac delco one on there.. Tried that and the truck hasn't acted up once since putting the ac delco filter on

POWER FAILURE
On my way home from work today my LLY bogged way down and ran like CRAP! I drove it until I had a spot to stop and was expecting to find a vac line or something unhooked.... No dice. I shut it off for about three min. When restarted it ran fine for a min then the same thing again. Check Engine light was on as well. I have only had the truck for a couple months and hope it isnt injectors. Can someone shed some light on this? Please? I cant let my fiance get the satisfaction of my duramax pooped out and me driving her Powerstroke.....7.3 atleast.... THANK YOU:s::s::s:

Well I decided to start with the fuel filter and when I pulled the inner fender well out I noticed that the water seperator had no wire!! I went ahead and changed the filter and got the new seperator or sensor and so far no problem yet.... Dont know if it was the filter or just cause of the missing sensor. either way I just hope that fixed it and thats not just gonna screw me later. lol I am however going to buy an awl to keep in case it does happen again. Thanks for the help!
