Kickin codes and limp mode

This afternoon my 04.5 LLY all but shut down. Could not get over 45-50 mph or 2000 rpm. Pulled over and plugged the super chips programmer and ran dianostics. Two codes pulled up P0208 and P2149. From what I've been able to find out about this, there is a malfunction on #8 injector. Can any shed more light on this before I start removing parts. Thanks in advance.

was it running rough like it was running on four cylinders?

Yes, it was also running weak and rough.

there is a solution to that problem called the ice pic fix.

the number two and number seven injector harness connector where it plugs into your injector is your problem. The wire crimps inside the connector are loose causing an intermittent connection.

its an easy fix, you will have to pull the connector and take a very sharp pick or awl and pierce through the connector re re-crimping the wires. if you do that on both connectors your problem will be fixed.

number two is the front injector on the driver side, number seven is the rear on the passenger side. remember its the connector that needs to be pierced not the connector.

if you google "lly ice pick fix" you can find pictures on how to fix it to my knowledge there arent any on here

Thanks for the info.

2500 Heavy Duty, I appreciate your response. Have been baffled with this little problem. I checked the number 8 connector. Disconnected it and reconnected, cleared the codes. The engine ran fine for about a minute then went right back. Assuming it is the 8 do you know if the connector ends are re-placable, without buying a complete harness.
