Duramax lly no power after half throttle
 
Hi I'm new to this site and I'm havin some serious problems with my lly I've done so much work it it and I've just about had it with it this truck I've done egr delete turbo inlet intake Exahust both fuel rail upgrades cp3 high flow line raptor 150 gph pump half in fuel lines shim kit delete with dead head finger kit dragon fly 42% over high flow cp3 pump and every time I step on it it has good power quarter throttle and after that it bogs hard caughing blueish smoke turbo only spools to 20 psi max and varrys on pressure and after that has no more pedlal any ideas please

what is your rail pressure when its doing this? have you checked out the injectors? i'm assuming youve allready changed the fuel filter and that made no difference

Can't really check the injectors or the rail pressure since I bypassed the pressure port because of restrictions and the fuel filters is brand new there's. I smoke at idle that would indicate a bad injector but I haven't had there balance rates checked yet but what it's doing I've never seen a truck do ever in my life and I've owned many of them that's why I figured IDE ask to see if anyone like uself had felt with this problem

I have shitty edge but it was free after having my Ppe stolen and I accidentally reflagged my comp I figured a cheapy wouldn't hurt till I put wifi live in but I figured it out wanna laugh half a court low on tranny fluid I knew they were sensitive but not to the point of retarding the motor that much and making it act like that huh I guess we all learn something new every day I feel like a dope for that just being it but IDE rather the 4$ fix and lookin dumb haha hey u have efi live what else can u change with it can u shut the egr off to get rid of the codes that keep popping up the finger kit didn't shut the sensor off

Yes u can turn off the egr and make it simply not exist anymore by changing the parameters so it will never be commanded to operate. and delete all the codes. too

i believe with the edge u can do a balance rate test, and monitor rail pressure too. (not fuel pressue)

If your egr codes are up will it put ur truck into limp mode upon start until its warm then when u restart then stop retarding?

with it smoking at idle and it loosing power past 50% throttle and you not knowing what your rail pressure is at that point....i'm saying injectors....high return flow rates can cause a low rail pressure problem and make the truck do exactly what your saying its doing....even with a 40% over cp3

yeah your going to have to use the edge to monitor the rail pressure under WOT and see wat is happeneing
