exhaust for my lly

I have looking at Diamond eye 4 inch turbo back with a 5 inch tip for my 05 Dmax, 350 bucks on ebay with free shipping what do you guys think?

SgtKilroy 05-29-2011 08:07 PM

I think a straight pipe is usually VERY cheap. The 5" tip is pretty much irrelevant to anything but looks though. There are cheaper options out there. Just my opinion though.

well I have a stock system on it now except for cat delete, do you think a strait pipe on that would be better than the larger exhaust? I appreciate you offering your opinion that is why I asked for help. Thanks G

Well, that depends on what kind of power levels you're working with. What do you have done to the truck? Do you have a specific goal in mind? Daily driver/Sled puller/Drag racing?
I wouldn't say a straight pipe is "better". But depending on what you're doing with the truck, maybe the money could be better spent.

dialy driver also tows my boat, camper and occaisionally tows a car hauler, i just thought my egt's wre kind of high, 850 to 1000 at 60 mph on the flat hiway, this truck also has 158k miles and Ihave owned it since 90k

You'd probably be fine with a straight pipe stock size.
