lly to lbz change over
 
has anyone changed a lly over to a lbz from a 4500? if so what needs to be changed? thanks for the help!

also if any one out their has a complete lly engine i am in dier need of a good one,low miles,we busted the number one piston,in our pulling truck motor.

I know a guy locally that has one with 45k on it. I'll find his number for ya.

Also I'm pretty sure the ECMs are different from the LLY to the LBZ. At least I was told that about swapping an 06 tranny into an 05.

heres the deal,tranny ecm is diff. engine ecm is differnt,but you can run the lbz motor on the lly ecm,and wiring harnnes. you cant take the 6 speed from the lbz trucks,and run it on the 5 speed ecm,because,of the ecm for it cant hold all the tuning files for the tranny.

the only diff in the two motors is pump,and small charger changes,and air intake.
now as far a diffs from a 4500 to a pick up truck motor i have no clue.
