Injector Replacement

About a week ago i started experiencing some lagging with my duramax along with a trouble code 0301. I looked up the meaning and long story short i need a new injector and to cut down on cost i wanted to replace it myself. Are there any tips or things i need to look out for?

DTC P0301
Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected

that injector is on the front of the motor on the passenger side, you will have to remove the fuel injection control module to get to that one. ur going to need some pry bars to get the inejector out. make sure the copper washer comes out with the injector. lube up the orings with engine oil and put a new copper washer and put the new injector in.

Prior to removing the fuel injector pipes, use compressed air to blow any debris from between the injector line and fittings. Wipe the fittings clean of debris.
Spray lithium grease, GM P/N 12346293 or equivalent, between the fuel injector line and fittings to assist in containing any debris during removal.
Remove the fuel injector pipes. NOTE: DO NOT use compressed air to clean debris from the fuel injector inlet after the fuel line is removed. Using compressed air can allow debris to enter the fuel injector inlet and damage the fuel injector.
Fuel injector bracket bolts are tightened down to 22lb ft.

the injector supply high pressure line is tightened down to 30lb ft.

O.K. thankyou,
I was driving it again today and it runs like normal but at idle the number one will be just a little bit higher at 7.6 to 8.6 could this be a connection problem instead?

is that in park? the balance rate specs should be between -/+4 in park at operating temps

im 100% sure if the return line is one piece brass or flexible line it does have to come off so you will need a new seal for it too i belive :humm: i have only done injectors on a lb7
