Diesel Bombers - Solid axle swap

Under the HD the other day and noticed oily residue on the drivers side of my front axle. I've already been in this p.o.s. twice replacing bearings and seals luckily I've been able to catch it before any worse internal damage was done. Needless to say that bearing on that side has let go again. I've yanked the cv's out and put the old stubs in. Tore the first cv's apart in Ohio a few years back to get me back home and kept them in case that happened again. Am toying with the idea of swapping the ifs for a solid axle. I have done some research but not too extensive yet. I want to go with leaf spring instead of coil overs, I think it would be easier on the pocket book and I don't need that much lift or flex. Probably go with a late model dodge frt ax. I can fab the spring mounts and cross member. What I'm not sure on is the abs, speed sensor and steering hook up. Need some ideas, suggestions or advice.
