EGR Leaking Oil
 

So my 05 silverado is leaking oil out of my egr. My egr has been blocked off and turned off using EFI Live and I even re routed my pcv valves to dump in the air. So i was wondering if anyone has had this issue or knows of a fix because it concerns me.

This is the residual that is purging out of the system. You would be surprised if you knew how much built up just after 5K

ahh okay so its not a big problem then

Tear the intake and EGR system down and clean it really good. If you have the time take your CAC off and have a radiator shop flush it out.

okay i think i will go tackle that problem today far as the intake and egr the other thing might have to wait a bit.

When you are able to get the CAC cleaned, run a thin bead of silicone on the inside of your boots when you put them back on.

PPE makes a nice EGR Delete kit, or if you tear it down I bet you can see how to really block it for good with a little welding and a blocker plate.

Thanx Im currently building a new intake piece to completly remove the egrs on these trucks kinda a off road only piece but thats noit going to stop me running around the streets with it
