My brother has an 01 DMax and it's usually coming home from work when we get to our house on top of a pretty good hill and he puts it in park in our drive way we can smell fuel but it goes away in less than a minute? but we can't see any leaks and we can't pin point were it's coming from? Somethin to worry about or is it just part of age? And a little side note it started about a week after we did his fuel filter but theres new seals and there's no leaks coming from there?

 

Well turns out the diesel smell led to low oil pressure. Low oil pressure led to low coolant. And low coolant led to white smoke. Yep it's Injectors there goes $8,000
