2002 LB7 with broken off glow plug.
My local shop, while changing a glow plug, broke it off while removing the small nut on top that the power feed connects too. They let me know that the only way to fix it now is to remove the head? Any ideas of how to do it otherwise? The head removal sounds like it will cost more then the truck is worth....

did just the tip break off? or is the whole glow plug stuck?

Same thing happened in my 99 Powerstroke. It took a little bit of redneck ingenuity but we got it out. We bought a pair of channel locks from lowes with like a needle nose tip and then took a slide hammer nut welded it to the side of the pliers and used the slide to pop it out and we warmed it up quite a bit with a small propane torch just have to be cardul to not hit your wires. I have a thread on here somewhere. If you end up having to take the head off id just do the work myself you and a buddy or two and a 13 pack itll bw done in a few hours.
