Replaced Injectors and now fuel in oil, please help!
 

2003 LB7 stock, original owner, never had injectors done. (Obama said no even when it was still under warranty)

As it says I replaced the injectors and all was well until the oil pressure dropped through the floor. I guess the viscocity of diesel isn't quite good enough.

I know I have a leak on the work I did but I read somewhere that you can run the fuel rail pressure up to test with the valve cover removed. I have one off now and it runs again but I don't see any leak. I would like to test under hi pressure before I re assemble and try the other side.
Do you know how to run the pressure up without any EFIlive etc....

One more question. Can I use Stainless bolts in the head so they will not rust and give me all that trouble in another 10 years.

Merchant Auto Bosch reman. I also purchased the kit but didn't really need any of it. The cups stayed in the block.

Did you have your injection lines sonic blasted? If you didnt have the lines cleaned you very well could have taken a injector out with contamination. I would find a local shop that has a solous scan tool so your can check rail pressure and balance rates on the injector.

As I said I did do my homework. I read every bit of info I could get my hands on. I bead blasted the lines to remove any contamination on the ball seats and up into the clamp area on every line. I know I have a leak under the valve cover by the amount of fuel in the pan, I just need to know how to test the rail under a higher pressure than idle.

I cant drive it to the dealer to test anything in it's current condition.

I would check the balance rates which you can do at a idle. All you would need is a V2 from EFI live or a edge insight. There is no way to truly tes rail pressure unless you drive it. Because rail pressure should only really increase while driving since there is a load on the engine

if you are trying to make the ECM command max fuel PSI but dont have the tool to command it just unplug the fuel pressure sensor or the FCA connector. this will make it go to max. be careful as a leak on the high pressure lines can cut skin and inject fuel into the blood.

Thank you, I remembered reading how to do that somewhere but I could not find it. I have since opened the driver side as well. I found 2 banjo bolts under torq so I fixed that. I will test tonight at max pressure and hopefully drive to test on the road tomorrow.
