HELLP!!!!!!

ok, i have an '02 bone stock replaced injectors and ip now the p1093 code is gone but it still is running like a pig it was perfect after i replaced the injectors but it was short lived. i ran into a mech. he said it could be my fuel rails. it just lacks power under any kind of load almost like its miss fire idk? it idles rough & dosn't take off smooth. i will do the fuel rails if i have to ,but can they be cleaned or boiloed or do you have to get new ones? :s:could it be electrical? any body have a problem like this? thanks :humm:

when did you last change the fuel filter

Tuscarora 03-24-2011 10:18 AM

well i replaced it when i did the injectors about 500 mi ago w/ gm, but the o-ring wasnt wanting to stay put im pretty sure it was sealing but just replaced it again to be sure. i checked glo-plugs w/ a test light at plug in at fire wall, they all light up but im going to try to check them w/ a multi-meter ? idk do you think a glo going bad would cause it to run so rough? seams the only thing left i have not replaced in the entire fuel sys is the damn rails even pulled the tank:dang:i'll do what ever it takes to make her purr again just need to figure out what? :ouch: hey thanks for reply hope to figure this one out soon

Maybe you have an injector not workin properly for some reason.Did you clean all your injector lines good so you have a good seat. are any of them leakin? you'll see fuel coming up from the connector where the steel line goes in. Or maybe a wire came loose from the top of the injector if they weren't tighten good enough. did you have the mechanic check the injector rates with a scan tool, that might tell you something

thanks for the reply, i spend alot of time just stare under the hood (lol) i have not noticed any leaks but you might be on to somthing it just was to perfect right after the new injectors went in, as soon as i recover from the injects and ip $$$ ill run it over and have them check the thing out.thanks again ill let you know what they say

sounds to me like a harness problem, possibly a failed new injector?

Tuscarora 03-25-2011 12:07 AM

thats coolo i can check harness conections for free lol . will a tech 2 tell me if an inj is bad / &witch one ? i duno they tell me at gm they havn't had any problems with the newer injs being bad off the shelf but you never know they had some issues for a while. anyway ill get busy doing the things i can and report back . thanks for the pointers .out

yeah

Tuscarora 03-25-2011 08:30 PM

alright so taday i found a place to dodge out of the rain, checked harness conections no loose plugs no bent contacts, i checked the glo plugs for resistence all read 0.9 one reads 0.8 at the connector near the fire wall (with in tollarnce right ?) the mech did not call me back with a price to check the injector rate . ill be back !!!
