When driving it hard, you have to let off of it before it shifts from high to low gear. However it should have worked in reverse, in the past I have always turned truck off, let it sit 20 seconds and off I went. Once you limp it, you might as well upgrade because it is going to happen all of the time.

That was the trans limp mode. Its happened to me a couple of times before i knew what it was. When i would put my programmer on the 450hp setting on my ppe as soon as my truck would go to shift at around 65-90 at full throttle, it would do just like you said. The Allison has its own separate computer and when it thinks that the trans is about to slip it puts the trans in limp to save itself, too many times of this and you wont have any clutches left:ouch:. The allison is only able to withstand about an extra 90hp safely without needing to build a more hd trans.

what do you do to beef it up and how much we looking at my truck has done the same

its the tranny limp mode my friends truck did it on stage 5 he just had to put it in park and let the tranny cool down. then it worked fine. but its probably not the best for the stock tranny
