Stealership says truck needs all new injectors.

Edit:forgot to add yes I know this Gen is known for injector issues

Took the truck in for because there's some smoke coming out of this hose under the truck(Crankcase VENT??? Buddy's powerstroke has it that's why I'm guessing)somehow got around to checking the oil. The oil was clean and very runny. Fuel in oil. Guy said it was injectors, all 8.... but that's bullshit since it doesn't smoke white or blue AT ALL out exhaust. Plus he didn't hook up any programmer to monitor the inj. #'s.
Would my ppe that monitors pulse widths help this investigation? $4400 according to stealership.

Ok. If they are right is there a local place that would do this cheeper and install bigger injectors?
Get this, the dealership even said it would be make more sense to SELL THE WHOLE TRUCK!! LMAO

but any help would do. Thanks guys.

Thats the way the GM techs have been told to do them. I take it your getting fuel in the oil.
The most fool proof way to tell which one/s is doing it is to remove all of them and check for the little check ball just above where the return line screws to them. If its deep into the injector body your ok. If its out even with the outer edge or pushing on the solenoid hold down nut its junk. For the cost and the work it takes to do it your money ahead to do all eight. Just my 2 cents.

Fuel in oil... Injector related problem, it happened to me twice and bad injectors were the cause.

I do have a write up on the site if you are feeling lucky

I saw it and and thinking about doing it with two of my powerstroke buddy's. They are very good at this stuff. They hate Chevy and gmcs lol
Would it be best to replace them all?

spend the money and do them all my .02 good time to put some bigger sticks in there.

My brothers 02 had the same problem. end up being 2 injectors messing up they just replaced those and it runs good

I recently had my injectors, all eight, replaced. The dealer wanted $350 each= $2,800 plus labor. I did some research and found an average time of 17 hrs to change them @ $90 per hr. I then found a local Diesel repair shop that charged $ 250 each injector new Bosch. After the job was completed and road tested they found, due to loping or surging at stop light, and after checking with scanner that the fuel pressure regulator was bad.
I knew this from previuos codes of if I remember right p089. Long story short, Repair shop recommended all eight due to the labor invovled, I agreed and very happy I did. The truck runs better than it has in a long time. Mine did not smoke at all but puked out like you said runny oil out of the breather tube. I agree with others have all eight replaced. To end this, my total bill with injectors, and fuel pressure regulator $4,300. Hope this helps in your decision.
