have you done any filter changes recently?

No I have not done anything since I got it from a Joe at Ft Richardson. I've had the truck for about 3 weeks it was woking good until it sat for 2 days and then I could not get it to start. my buddy and I check it and finally primed the pump at the fuel water seperator and she fired right up. I tried to listen to the pump at the tank but I hear nothing ( is there a pump in the tank?) I keep hearing yes and no from a bunch of people and the sad thig here in alaska I can't find a repair manual for my truck.

pump is located after filter there is a check port on your engine near the front right side were you can plug in a vacuum guage and if it pulls more that a couple inches of vacuum guage then its time to change the filter

there is talk about deteriorating rubber fuel hoses. start replacing them. and some of the rubber hoses are even collapsing inside. starving engine of fuel.
