2004 duramax?
 

Im looking at a 04 GMC EXT. cab he wants 17,500 for it IT as leveling kit, 35 toyo open countrys with some black 18s,Garrett 66mm turbo,75 hp DDP injectors,Quadzilla stealth 2, quad box, new modified cp3, 150 fass, suncoast trans, very sharp truck. Its my buddys truck and he babies it. He is wanting to buy my 03 cummins dually because he started hauling hay. Does this sound like a good deal? I know nothing about duramax because ive always had cummins. Is there anything i need to know about this certain year any advice would help.Thnx OH YEAH its a 3/4 and it has 138,000 miles on her.:tu:

I have an o4 with 180,000 miles on it and love it. The only thing with these years is the injectors and the water pump going out. chevy has the warranty on the injectors of 7 year 200,000 miles . Sound like he fixed it up nice as well. and the price isn't too bad;

Is it the LB7 or LLY? From what I hear, LLY's don't have the injector issues like the LB7 (i'm at 101k miles and nothing so far.. :c:) and they put the lly into the trucks after 2004.5..

some lb7's have injectors problems, theres hundreds of thousands of them out there, and alot of them never even heard of an injector problem.

I'm also looking at a 2004 Duramax and i've already check it and it has a LB7 engine in it. Not sure how much they're asking for it tho yet. It has a 4 in exhaust from the turbo back, performance muffler into a 18x8 in exhaust tip, it also has 20 in tires on it. It's a really clean truck it's charcoal grey (crew cab) not sure if it's 4x4, doesn't have stickers on it and i couldn't see into it. How much do you think it's worth? I know that miles will effect the price so assume it has 180k or so if it helps might have less. Also on the injectors on the LB7 do have problems, my 2001 has 3 injectors firing at different levels of course it has 260k miles on it tho. Now on the LLY (2004.5-2005) engine the injectors will still go out after a period of time, but it's not as bad and the good thing is the injectors are on the outside so easier to change. :tu: My dad has a 2004.5 crew cab with 90k miles and aprox 2.4k engine hours on it and the injectors are just fine.
