02 6.6 help

have a 02 6.6 dmax that keeps loosing its prime can use the hand pump to get fuel will start run a min. then die pump it up again and same results. I have dropped the tank twice I founld the lil valve had came off the bottum of the pick up moduel so i snapped it back in but that did not help what else should i check next, runs fine when the filter has fuel plenty of power til it goes dry.

there is probably an air leak somewhere after the filter, how old is the filter?

Where should I look for a air leak,if I park it on a incline with the rear higher then the front it will start even after sittin for a day,put it back on level ground and a hour later all it will do is spin. my boss thinks the injectors are leaking down.

no expert by any means but check out the plastic bleeder screw on top of the fuel filter housing. Mine was doing the same thing a while back and I finally figured out that that screw was cracked and letting air into the system. Couldn't tell it was cracked by looking at it.

had same problem, and a buddy had a leak through the primmer bulb, the little diaphram would not keep suction and bleed air through...if primmed went well until we stopped pumping.

question, if you are in the incline state(rear up) will it run for a while no problems...no leaks on incline either?

I had the same issues. Replaced the air bleeder, rebuilt the fuel filter assembly with viton orings, replaced the 3 fuel lines, still had the issue. Tore into it and connecting the CP3 there are some more rubber fuel lines that I replaced and now runs great. Bought a Carter lift pump just need to get filters for the unit and good to go! Hopefully the pump levels out my injector issues, one is looking not so good.
