Vibration under hard accel.
 

HI Guys, I have a 02 dmax 4x4, When I floor it under hard acceleration I get a vibration in the drivetrain on it i think, I was maybe thinking u joints, or ??? I took it up to 80 under hard acceleration and it started vibrating pretty good, I took it up to 80 easy and it didn't vibrate at all. you can feel the vibration in the floorboards, What do you guys think......

Sounds like you have a bad carrier bearing.

Also if your truck is lifted you might need to shim the carrier bearing down a half inch or so.

No lift, but I will check into the carrior bearings. any other ideas? Thanks for the help

should check axle wrap, see if your diff is walking around under accell

My 05 had it bad !

also check the center support bearing as well.

What did you do to fix the axle wrap?

sold the truck



the fix was to install traction bars though.

had a couple bad universal joints. :c:
