My buddy truck goes clunk or is it a clank?
 

All bs aside my buddy's truck has a clunk in the tranny and he can't figure it out. He said he's had his rear seal fixed once and it stopped, but a faulty seal has started leaking again. I said a seal shouldn't be the cause of a mechanical problem, but i figured i should ask ya'll.
It happens when hes off the gas and it down shifts. It has new U joints from last spring.:humm:

has he been keeping up with the filter changes on it?

i don't think he keeps up with any of it. He's that guy that thinks there's blinker fluid. Should he just get it serviced?

yeah, especially if he dont keep up with it

mine would clunk when i took off. Tranny mount was wore out. Still does it just not as bad. Is that when it clunks or wile its shifting?
