LB7 question

will upgrading to aftermarket injectors solve the cracking problem that was had with the stock injectors? i am a ford guy transplanting to dirtymax so any help on the problems with the LB7 would be greatly appreciated.

what cracking problem are you referring to?

the injector body was said to have cracked and they were warrantied until 200'000 because of it.i've heard the stock injecotr bodies would crack after a period of time...unless im being told the wrong info. i've also read about it in diesel power mag.

well they can crack with a lot of pressure running though them. there's a ball in the side of the injector and bad fuel can erode it out of its seat causing the ball to move and its seal not working anymore causing fuel to leak out into the oil pan.

idk about some companies, usually they modify the nozzels on them. but fixinf the seat where the check ball goes idk

what are the signs to watch for when this happens?...i am completely green when it comes to duramax's so any help would be awesome..

your oil level keeps getting higher, becareful when this does happen that alot of diesel fuel will take out the lurication out of the oil makes for a clean motor but bad for wear:ouch:
