4wd light
anyone ever had to replace there ignition to fix there 4wd service light????????????
nope, i can't say i've ever heard of that one.
well i talked with the tech at the dealership and told him my problem and what i had already replaced i.e. switch and fuse he told me that there has been a service bulletin on 4wd lights that was one of three fixes the other two fixes are the switch and the ground wires not being grounded properly (grind the paint off frame)
is it the switch to tell you its in 4wd or is it a service light, cause my older chevy, the light would stay on for a while after i pulled it out, usually till i shut it off. it never seemed to still be locked in so i just ignored it.
it the push button on the dash
waiting on the dealership to order my ignition switch module at 145.00 buck but oh well got to get it fix cant play in the snow with out 4wd :argh:
my dad inlaw replaced his in a ford ranger like 4-5 times, untill he finnaly wrecked it in the snow, (aperently the 5th time didn't fix it)..........
I had the same problem on my truck. It would blink but not do anything. Found out it ws just the ground on the driverside frame from the tranny wire harness, the bolt was stripped out. Easy fix.
took the ground off and took the grinder to the paint put bolt back tight still not working all the lights on the switch come on when i first turn the switch on but go right back off
thats what makes me think its the ingition switch |
