Changes?

I just got my 2002 Chevy Duramax 3500 that has 90,000 miles on it. My first diesel and I love it, should have got one a long time ago. The guy I got the truck from purchased it new and put 4 inch exhaust and a Edge chip in it within the first year. The truck has been running like this most of its life. If I decide to put a different programer will it cause any problems with my truck since it has been running with the Edge chip for so long?

welcome i don't think it will have any problem with another chip.

Is the Edge Chip any good? Is there a difference between the chip and a programmer?

I have and Edge Juice with Attitude display ( suppose to be 150hp) and I think I would change it. It makes my truck just die some times, but it always starts back up just kind of scary! Motor makes this loud knocking like it's out of fuel. I put it on my truck at 60k and it now has 138k on it. If I could swing it think I would go with PPE or something else.

Programmer won't give you as much HP from my experience. I have a Triple Dog ( Bully Dog) on my company truck which is an 2004 Dodge 3500 4x4 Dually with an HO Cummins with 186k on it! Bought new and still runs like a champ with original tranny!! Bully Dog works real smooth on it! My buddies with D-max's have got rid of thier Edge 's and went to this new PPE and they seem to really love it. I cannot say personally if the PPE is good.
