oil pressure.
 

my dad has an 03 duramax:5:. (LOVE DRIVING IT:choochoo:) but the oil pressure at idle or while coasting seems dangerously low. it below the 30mark. is tha normal? it does red line but i've never seen it that low.

but just incase youre wondering i did not break it. and my father ha seen it for awhile and i just noticed it. any advice is appreciated thanks

Anything more than 15 is fine. Mine gets down to around 20, and maxes around 60.

So does mine 20 psi at idle 40 psi easy throttle and maxes out around 65 psi.

well my dads will hit 90 ish when the pedal is on the ground

Is that at cold start and drive or engine warmed up to operating temp.
