Hope you got a good deal, because now you'll need more money for mods just to keep up with an LLY... :lol88:

Big_Johnson 10-10-2008 04:44 PM

So yeah it ended upbeing 2wd(my bad). But i still love it!
Had my first race todat against some little honda del sol:lol88:
he had an e15 (or w/e) and a turbo... yeah i was pullin away so i just stopped cuz the waste of fuel wasn't worth it.:w2:

AND YES! I WILL HAVE PICTURES UP SOON!!! I just have to find the cord that goes from the samera to the computer...:humm:

Is the truck being only 2wd going to effect the takeoff alot??

2500HeavyDuty 10-10-2008 07:46 PM

only by a 1/2 to a second on the quater:ouch:

dozerboy 10-10-2008 11:03 PM

But you can fry the tires a lot:5:

2500HeavyDuty 10-10-2008 11:06 PM

they are better from a 30+ roll, they lighter too

alot of people complain about racing from a dig anyway

Big_Johnson 10-11-2008 09:24 AM

thankya much.

It's a GMC....that'll slow you down even more. They weigh more than the Chevrolets due to all the lock washers they use. :moon:

Throw a few fat chicks in the back to help weigh down the ass end to pick up traction.. :U:

:lol88: Yeah i'm not to fond of big chicks. But would it really work that way to keep me from sittin and spinnin? or would the weight end up slowing me down alot too? Also, has anyone heard of ppe's tranny upgrades? Is there a way to convert crank hp to rwhp?
And i like my GMC. It'll be a little heavier anyways. I'm putting 2 rockford fosgate 10s under the back seats.

This will take a bunch of trial and error. It's a fine line....too much fat chick and it'll slow you down, not enough and you'll still spin. So you will have to add and try many different fat chick combinations till you find what works the best. Don't forget though, as you add power mods, you'll have to up the fat chick weight in the bed..... :5:

Nice Truck :U:

durallymax 10-11-2008 05:44 PM

I would go with a Stage IV suncoast no matter what. IMO its the best decision. It will handle all of the power a stock motor will put out. By this I mean stock internals and the like. So 600RWHP respictively. If you plan to keep the stock turbo and tow a lot stay with the 1056 converter. If you dont plan on towing but plan on keeping the stock turbo upgrade to the 1054.

Big_Johnson 10-11-2008 08:47 PM

MY PLANS FOR THIS TRUCK:
I want to be able to get decent gas mileage in normal driving. However, I want to be able to crank out some power and race every now and then at the local track. I wont be trying to get to the point where i have the fastest truck in TN. No i just want to be able to put away ricers and stangs and stuff like that with ease to a somewhat close race.

durallymax 10-11-2008 09:23 PM

oh well if all you wanna do is beat ricers and stock mustangs your already done. No mods needed.

Big_Johnson 10-11-2008 09:31 PM

haha. idk about that. i was runnin side by side with an integra today(beat a del sol yesterday. no surprise.)...there is a twin turbo civic hatch in my town along with a TT 300zx. And not stock mustangs. I mean atleast a mustang gt. There are alot of fast cars in my area.

durallymax 10-12-2008 01:51 PM

My aunts mustang says GT on it and its a convertable V6 automatic.

If the civic realy is a twin turbo Its a tuner not a ricer.

I have resect for tuner cars not ricers. A ricer is a car with no power mods and all looks mods. And of course a fart can.

I've actually never seen a gt like that...
And yeah that's true. it would be a tuner. Ricer is just the first thing that came to mind when i was typing. the majority of ppl in little honda's and stuff only have intakes and exhausts. but the turbo guys are ridiculous. even though their cars look like :edit:
