My "New" Hauling Rig...

I am going on Wednesday to pick it up in Indiana but it is an '02 LB7 Dually, two owner and the second owner is the son of the first. COMPLETE dealer service records, and just had the Injectors replaced under warranty in Aug, 115,000 miles and always kept in a garage. the only thing it has pulled is a 8000lb race car trailer, and it has had NO after market anything done to it.. So, I have actually found a great "Cherry" start for a new hauling rig!!!

All for $14,000...
maybe God will Bless my operation so that I will need another trailer too and I can put a driver in this one an deliver trees with the truck I already have too!!!

Oilfield_Mafia 09-22-2008 11:03 AM

:up2: Works great now bud. Thats a slick truck man.. Whats first on the list of BOMBS?

bigdaddydiesel 09-22-2008 11:31 AM

to start with I have to installl a B&W goose neck hitch, air bags, gauges, and an exhaust brake. Then I am going to install an intake, and turbo back exhaust....
Once those are done then it will be time for a tuner and fuel system. After that Methinal injection, torque conver / tranny upgrade. then it will probably be done, but this will take some time to get finished....
Everything has it's own priority for hauling. :U:

Good looking new truck and I think you have a good BOMB list.

toy4xchris 09-22-2008 11:46 AM

:U:man thats a clean rig. great find on that one. sounds like a good list of bombs for it also.

Rand1544 09-22-2008 12:02 PM

Nice looking Ride:c:

bigdaddydiesel 09-22-2008 12:12 PM

yeah, I was real surprised to find one in that condition, especially with ALL of the maintenance records @ the same dealer!:c:

Rttoys 09-22-2008 02:57 PM

Looks good and sounds like a good price, too. Was that the 'norm' pricing you found in other simular trucks in the same year, options, and such, or were they higher or lower, etc?

bigdaddydiesel 09-22-2008 04:02 PM

Well, the retail book value according to Kelly Blue Book is 20,000.
and I will be completely honest, I never actually found another that could compare to this one as far as condition... All or most of the others had either been ragged out or had already been modded/ Bombed beyond what i could use for the hauling in my business. I would have liked to have had a 6spd Manual from the LB7 years, but finding one of those that fit my personal criteria proved to be harder than I thought it would be...:w2:

MRaynor 09-22-2008 07:44 PM

Lucas Amick 09-22-2008 07:48 PM

nice find what a starter truck

bigdaddydiesel 09-23-2008 11:24 AM

No doubt, I will be in Greenwood Indiana Thursday Morning to pick it up and trailer it home!!!

And yeah, it is that clean all over, it has had an easy life in a garage!!! almost a trailer queen daily driver, etc!!! I really could not find a better truck for the price!!!:U::U::U:

I will get some more pics up when I get it home....
What is going to look funny is trailering the bigger truck with the smaller truck cuz the dually does not have a goose neck hitch yet...

toy4xchris 09-23-2008 12:10 PM

yea that probably will look a little funny but yea itll add character to the trip. drive safe and enjoy the new rig.:c:

bigdaddydiesel 09-23-2008 09:09 PM

Thanks!!!!!
and anyone that really knows anything will be able to look at the dually and tell that it is not set up for pullin a goose neck, if they can't then they don't need to comment anyway right????:U::U::U:
