Default 03 Sitting for about a year

My nephew approached me about helping him with his truck. It's an '03 (I think) that has been parked for about a year. It's not been started at all. I know that it has 200,000+ miles on it, and has been run hard pretty much since new. What steps should we take before trying to start it? I'm sure the fuel quality is probably crap, just guessing tank wasn't full when he parked it. So I figure I'd have him dump in some of the 911 treatment and new fuel to start with.

Certainly make sure the batteries are up to snuf as cranking might be lengthy. Check all fluids, belt(s), check or replace air filter to make sure rodents haven't taken up residence there. Clean all batt terminals and also clean all ground contact points frame, cab, etc, Change fuel filter(s), add some fresh fuel, and some injector cleaner and let 'er rip.

For some reason I'm not holding my breath. He's worried about injectors, fuel pump, etc. I don't know if it had issues with the engine or not when he parked it. I thought he parked it due to front end issues. Keeps saying it needs new sway bar...I'm thinking he means torsion bar, as his dad had cranked them already, then my nephew added torsion keys and cranked more, so I'm thinking he snapped one.

OH well, that's a whole different animal altogether...…… If it were me, my priority would be to get the engine running and address any of those issues first, THEN deal with the suspension issues.
