Lb7 aftermarket intake question

Hello, I am new to this forum and am looking for some advice. I have a 2004 lb7 duramax, all stock other than EFI live, intake horn and exhaust. I recently had my turbo rebuilt and had a batmowheel installed, along with the PPE boost valve. My question is: Is it safe to have a cold air intake on a truck that drives I'd say 70% of the time on dust gravel? Which brand of intake would be best for my application? I have to ask because with my factory intake box, I can tell that the turbo struggles to pull air through the factory filter (it pops the service filter button when it makes more than 24 lbs of boost) so I want to have more air flow, but I still need good filtration. Any help is appreciated!

Yes, they filter better and flow better than factory. The oil helps grab dust. Will probably need to be serviced every couple months if really dusty. I only buy s&b. Cheaper than most and perfect fit, high quality

Have you had any problems with the oil messing with the MAF sensor?

No, had them on probably 5 trucks. Currently have one on my duramax and one on my 97 dodge crew cab. The only way you'll have a problem is if you over oil it when you service it

The 06 in my sig had an afe because I bought it with one. It was more expensive and worked fine but not as nice looking as an s&b

Ah ok, thanks for the help! I will check out s&b intakes.
