Looking at buying an 03

Ok guys I found an 03 with 165xxx miles I know they had injector problems up to 04.5.
I know a few people that own then but are all 06 and up. So what are the obvious problems I can look for. And if the injectors are bad how can I tell?
Oh and if anybody can think of anything else I should know feel free to share.
Thanks guys!!

You can get the injector balance rates checked to see how efficiently they are performing. If the balance rates don't come back within spec you'll see if any of the injectors are on their way out the door.

The '03's were good, but it's been my experience up north that cold weather and sh-- ULSD fuel with modern high pressure injection rates mean injectors won't last as long as old mechanical ones will regardless of what year we're talking.

Aside from the injectors, just all the other usual stuff. I'm not sure how to check proper fuel pump operation...
Good luck

Reman injectors can be had for about $1600 a set. 03 injectors we see last as long as 260k and as little as a few miles if the fuel is contaminated. 160k-200k is common life if the fuel has been clean. a pressure box (power upgrade) can also shorten injector life.
