MASSIVE coolant leak???????

Have an 02 LB7. Driving home and the "low coolant" light comes on. The tank is empty and it appears coolant has sprayed in and around the passenger side firewall / heater core area. The insulation on the firewall is actually saturated and dripping on the turbo downpipe as well as all over the frame in that area.

I put some water in it to get home and looked all over with a flashlight. The engine is running fine and no smoke, so I don't think its engine related. I thought some type of hose or maybe the heater core. I don't see any leaky hoses, there doesn't appear to be a leak or smell in the cab.

Could it be leaking on the inside of the firewall and dripping through without me smelling it. Is there any type of cooling line to the turbo that i'm not seeing?????

Thanks.....

Yes it could be leaking on the inside of the firewall.
Yes there is a coolant line that goes into the turbo,if yours is the vgt turbo.
I would say pressurise the cooling system and see if you can see anything.

Found the source. The drivers side heater core connector seems to have broke. Not sure how these connectors work, but the white plastic connector pulled right off the heater core.

Are these GM only or is this a standard connector?

You can buy those quick disconnects at parts house or attach the hose directly to heater core pipe. They are common to break.

Yeah, it was like 6-8 for the fitting and 10 for the Liste tools. Its bypassed at the moment I hope to fix it tomorrow. Now the big pain in the ass is flushing out the cooling system from all the water I put back in it......

Thanks
