Injector Rebuild vs. Straight Replacment

Looking for some advice. Have an 08/03 production 2500HD with the original set of injectors, at about 95,000 miles. It's injector replacement time, and I'm looking on eBay at costs of the variety of new Bosch, remanufactured, "send yours in" remanufactured, and rebuild kits. The pricing of these different setups is crazy from how can they sell for so cheap to how can the sell for so much.

I know there will be different opinions...that said, I'm looking for the experts advice on which choice is the best to go with for longevity's sake.

The truck is a Service Truck, not used to pull/tow. There was some EGR work done recently in attempts to cut back on excessive smoke, however when the engine is operated for 30 minutes or more it begins smoking excessively again and runs a bit coarser (not misfiring). It starts easily and generally has no other driveability issues, and the check engine light isn't on.

Thanks in advance! :tu:

I'm about to put my third set in my 03 LB7. originals went out at 110k, second set were new bosch OEM's and they were good up to about 230k, I'm personally considering rebuilt ones for this 3rd set as I don't know how they can be any worse that the expensive new ones. I'll also be installing them myself. My truck has been stock with no mods since day 1.
so that's no expert advise. Just real world experience with same engine as you.
my truck currently has about 260k miles now... and yes the smoke has one benefit. It will positively keep bugs away. :)

Thanks, that's the kind of info I was looking for. Using the sticky in this forum have decided to give replacing them myself a shot.
