LB7 Surging at hwy speeds.. NEED ADVICE!!

Hello everyone, I have 2002 duramax completley stock, the truck drives with no issues below 100km/h anything at or above that speed the truck starts to surge, the truck has a new injection pump and regulator 500km ago, the truck did it before the new pump and still does it after, any help or advice on this problem would be greatly appreciated.. thanks!!

Did they change the fuel filter after the instal? What kind of shape is the filter assem? I've heard these can get vacuum leaks and suck air.

Also on the tank end, I've heard of guys getting the "foil tops" from fuel additives in their gas tank that then get sucked up by the fuel pickup. That may cause a surge or starvation as well.

I just bought a 2002 3500 HD. It does the same thing only above 60 miles per hour.

At 1900 rpm, it is barely noticeable. At 2000, it is definitely there. at 2100 it is unbearable. If I accelerate without down shifting it goes away.

heres the latest and greatest now, pulled the injectors due to the common lb7 line corrision and there was lots of debris on the top of the injectors figured it might be causing my surging issues and it needs to be cleaned anyways, so cleaned the injectors, hard lines, return lines, replaced all the rubber hoses, torqued everything to factory specs, rebuilt the fuel filter head, took the truck for a drive and its still surging and the crankcase was loaded with diesel.. where did i go wrong and anymore help and advice would be great

I changed my fuel filter. No change. Going to log it with EFI Live tonight or tomorrow and see what I can decipher with a little help.
