PM in the PNW

All,

I just picked up my first diesel this past weekend (from Portland!) and the motor seems to be in good shape. 5K on rebuild. Looking to build a relationship with either a knowledgeable individual or smaller shop. Would like to have someone with some solid diesel knowledge give it the once over before I start wondering off into the wilderness.

Would like to setup a maintenance schedule of things that should be checked every so often and things that need to be replaced at standard mileage intervals. Can someone help point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Change you're oil reguraly 15W40 it must say for diesel engines and some people mite have a argument about this one stay away from Bio Diesel and that truck will last you a very long time oh and Wix and Napa gold filters only they are the same thing and when you have to replace parts stick with AC Delco and you will never regret speng a little bit more up front:hellox:

Rad. Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to stock up on the Wix filters and stick with A/C Delco. Aside from my own light maintenance, still looking for leads on a solid diesel tech, be it a shop or an individual. My work life consumes me so I don't get a lot of time to work on my vehicles as I'd like :nope:
