New to the 6.5: Having electrical problems

Im a proud owner of a 1996 6.5 turbo diesel, but its my first diesel, so i need some help. Two things are going wrong and i have no idea what it could be. The first problem is when i power brake it, (yes, i know im not supposed to do that) all the electronics, lights, and the whole truck will start flickering and shutting off and coming back on really quick. its done it to me twice and im starting to get worried. It runs fine when you are just driving it, and when I do small burnouts, but if i power brake it and the tires dont spin, everything starts freaking out. Second problem is when i floor it, or rev it, im getting sparks from somewhere around my wastegate i think. Im not for sure though. But its in that area. Please, I need answers asap. Id rather catch a problem before it destroys everything. And please no judging. Im 17, and when i get with my buddies, we tend to do stupid stuff. Im sure you can all relate to that. But if I feel something wrong, I quit. I dont push it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Again, no judging.

You should only do neutral drops from now on much better effect put it in neutral rev it up to about red line then drop it in gear I promise it will really impress you're buddies :tttt:

Well I found out it was a bare wire hitting the frame when my motor rocked. And isn't that hard on everything? I like impressing people, but not if it means tearing up my rig
