Replacing motor
It's been a little while but my suburban is still chuggin along. I picked up a motor to replace the smoking one and I'm looking for resources on swapping out the motors. I have a buddy of mine who is willing to do it for $500 but if I could find enough resources I might be able to do it myself. Any suggested sites, threads, or books?:c:

this easy.
disconnect all electrical components disconnect anything that will get in the way upon removal(radiator, air box, etc) pull both inner fenders out of the front loosen the motor mount bolts, exhaust, etc pull the tranny torque converter out of the way, take all the bolts out of the flexplate pull the tranny to block bolts out, probably easier to drop trans a little. pull the motor out and your good :jump: |
Sounds simple enough, Thanks I'll keep you all updated. :tu:
