1997 express van 6.5 diesel i shut it off next day wont start
 

Ok i have a 1997 chevy express with the 6.5 turbo diesel. was running fine till yesterday when i was out after driving around for about 30 miles and it sat for 2 hrs. after it sat it would not start cranked over just fine but wouldnt start. so i had it towed home and just for the heck of it after paying 175 bucks to get it home it started up. i replaced the uplift pump a few weeks ago as it started shutting off while driving and replaced the starter a few days ago because it went bad. i relocated the pdm last year when it went out but havent had any other problems with it since. its got 350,000 miles on her and runs like a raped ape when she runs. im going to go check the grounds all my fuel lines for leaks make sure all my connectios are connected right and go from there but any ideas guys? thanks and have a great diesel day :humm:

for the heck of it i checked the pdm and i had another and when i hook it up the truck wants to start but also wants to run wide open... any ideads?

poss. stuck metering valve, any codes? could be bad APPS too

well the person who relocated the pdm mounted it under the dash in the cab and bolted it right to the heater box. so i relocated it behind the drivers heaslight and it fires right up no problems its not only getting air from the fan but will also get air from driving it down the road. also took the butt connectors they used and replaced them all used shrink tube on all 6 then one large one over the whole bunch to seal them off from the weather. i then put dioelectric grease in the fitting to the pdm new thermal compound on the pdm to the heatsink . has been running for 40 min and the heat sink is just a little warmer than my hand. when it was in the truck it was hot to the touch
